Last night we went out to dinner.
This does not happen often.
With three young kids it's just easier to stay at home. Generally, restaurants here are not Kid-Friendly. No coloring books/crayons, balloons, covered cups, kid menus or (often) high chairs. The exception to this is a type of restaurant called a Heuriger. They're typically family-friendly (-er) and on the outskirts of the city. They're connected to a vineyard and serve their own homemade wine, sausage, etc. Our dear friend's parents were visiting from the States and we met them for dinner at Das Schreiberhaus.
