Just an FYI - there will be significantly more pictures of William than Calvin. Cal is in this phase that if I have a camera out he turns his head away quickly. Augh! It's not that I love William more - he just loves being in the center of it all - including pictures.
The workers there do a brief introduction and then the kids get to hop in and experience it all. This exhibit was about Medieval Times.
We first checked out the stained glass window and writing stations. The kids got to cut out shapes or letters from thick plastic wrap and then attach it with water to the stained glass section of the window.
Then they got to try out writing with quill & ink... yep it's permanent ink.

William really wanted to try the jousting. He was so excited and had a grand time.
There were different knights helmets the kids could try on. William worked on his fierce face for the last one
There was also a section of costumes the kids could wear. Many of the girls ran around in some of the peasant attire - my kids wanted to try the dragon costume. Since they were connected it didn't last very long.
There was also an area where they could mine in a non-West Virginia style. They went into this dark closet area and just picked rocks out of holes in the wall. Then they could bring them out and examine them.
And lastly, one of their favorite parts of the museum was in the lobby. They had these huge blocks and they loved moving, pushing, climbing and jumping from them.
This was an amazing afternoon! And for the 4 of us it was only 4 Euros! What?! Yep. Cheaper than going out for ice cream. I love a worthwhile bargain!
Looks like fun!! When Zoey is bigger, we'll join you! :)
