There was yet another holiday here in Vienna and we decided to go on a local family outing. We live about 10 minutes away from one of the highlights of the city - the Belvedere Palace. Since the weather was gorgeous and it was Spring, we headed out to the Belvedere Gardens. I truly think that there wasn't a plant that wasn't in bloom.
They had this great section of bamboo that the kids really enjoyed. They could shake it and listen to the leaves up above.

Calvin loves this hat and it just cracks me up |
Some of the beautiful flora we saw.
My skill & camera don't do them justice.
William was stopping and smelling everything.
Why does that not surprise me?!
Afterwards we went to a nearby playground and the boys officially wore themselves out. They had this great water section that the kids loved - pumping and rerouting water.
We spent so much more time there than intended that we were kind of forced to do dinner out. A lovely and unexpected treat. Side note... we hardly ever do dinner out with our kids. We usually try to avoid it. Generally it's just not a real pleasurable experience. This was outside and our main source of noise and chaos had fallen asleep :)
A great, great day.
