My last day of school: a photo diary

Hi everyone! Dad thought he would take some photos of my last day of school. So, here we go...

...down the hall to the elevator...

...down the elevator...

...through the ground floor hallway...

...out the front door...

...up the hill...

...around the corner and down to the tram stop...

...here comes the "1"!...

...onto the Strassenbahn (I LOVE trains!)...

...underground...

...above ground...

...off the "1"...

...wait for the "6"...

...ride the "6" 2 stops...

...off the "6"...

...walk 4 blocks past the Turkish grocery...

...into the school and up the stairs...

...change into my house shoes...

...and greet Mr. Chris! He's pretty much the coolest person in the world. :)

...say goodbye to daddy...

...and spend most of my free-time with Sandro!

A group hug! My classmates will really miss me, so says Ms. Mary-Anne.

We call the playground "the terrace."

Our lunches are always very healthy. Surprisingly, we did not have soup this day.

I never nap during quiet time.

I've gotten very good at cleaning up.

Time to say goodbye. I would have liked to have said goodbye to Ms. Mary-Anne and Mr. Chris but they're in an important staff meeting.

But having heard that we left, they sprint down the stairs and won't let me leave without saying goodbye :)

New City Wien hymns

Tonight was the last night New City Wien's band played together; I'll be heading to the States for the summer on Thursday, and Melissa, our clarinetist (bassist, really!) will be returning to California at the end of the month, so I made a ridiculously amateurish recording of the band playing one of our originals, a re-setting of Philipp Nicolai's "Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern."

Here's another hymn, "Es ist das Heil uns kommen her" by Paul Speratus. It was Martin Luther's favorite, apparently. We recorded it during the worship service, and, wow, it looks like I'll need to invest in some better monitors because I completely destroyed the tempo at the beginning.
