So all those years of watching Figure Skating have finally come in handy. I became Worthy's ice skating teacher. We headed down to the Rathaus where they've set up an amazing Ice Skating rink. Just Worthy & Mamma - together for a little adventure.
Adjacent to this, there is a smaller rink set up where kids can learn to skate. It's a rink made of plexiglass (I think) which allows the kids to skate and the adults (in your shoes instead of skates) to assist them as they learn. They also had these great little plastic penguins that the kids could hang onto for stabilizing as they learn.
Worthy was SO brave and did a fantastic job! He took a few tough spills, but stuck it out. He was determined to get it. Midway through, we took a much-needed Kinderpunch break (Gluwein for me...).
By the end of our time he was skating around the rink (without holding onto the walls) and by the end of the day it was me who fell down and couldn't get up again.
