The Name of the Wind
I'm reading a FANTASTIC book right now called, The Name of the Wind. I must give props to our friend Glen for recommending it. He recommended it to Dan, but since Dan is buried in school work, I decided to pick it up. It's a great read and I'm having a hard time putting it aside to do dishes, laundry, shower... :) It belongs in fantasy/LOTR genre, so be fore-warned. I'm dreading coming to the end because the sequel doesn't come out until April 2009... augh!

Battlestar
So Battlestar Gallactica really is the greatest show on TV. Dan & I just watched the final episode this season and we were once again wowed. The writing and planning in this series is are exceptional, intentional and intelligent. Don't be an idiot, watch it.
Did I really just write about Battlestar Gallactica & Nova on the same day?! hehe :)

I'm a Dork
It's hard for me to believe I'm going to blog about Nova, but oh well, here it goes... Nova rocks. I saw this show on PBS about Megavolcanoes the other day and it was really amazing. I was just continually impressed with the complexity of this universe that God has created. I sat down to fold laundry and turned on the TV. It took me about 15 minutes to fold a basket of towels because I was so mesmerized. Needless to say, Tivo was utilized and for the rest of the evening I looked forward to folding the subsequent laundry loads.

Happy Father's Day
So for Father's Day, I made Dan his favorite cake, Chocolate Stout Cake. It was a big success with Worthy as well. Yes, he really is licking the plate :)

Last Day of School
Today was Worthy's last day of Pre-K. We're both going to REALLY miss it. He has really enjoyed school this year and honestly 2 half days "off" was a treat for me as well. There was no fancy graduation, but rather a SUPER fun water day. The kids had a great time on the Slip & Slide, blowing & chasing bubbles, playing in the kiddie pools and snacking on all sort of inappropriate & unwholesome snacks :)
Pool Fun
So summer has arrived in full force here and we've been taking full advantage of the pool. Worthy loves to play in the water. He likes to take turns singing songs while we're in the pool - where do they come up with these games?! Worthy still is hesitant to dunk his head under, so I think that is something we will be working on this season.
Will also enjoys the water. And yes, he's swimming in the buff :) Swim diapers can really add up, so as long as I'm not expecting a "present", Will is quite the Naturalist. The only down side is Worthy wants to strip down too - lol.
